Mebo is a producer of small fitted structures in steel and RVS and was in need of a larger and better equipped building.
A plot was found in the industrial zone of Lokeren along the E17-highway. In order to fully use the advantageous visibility of this interesting location the facade of the building including the offices was oriented in the direction of the highway.
The industrial building also includes separate workshops and storage equipped with stacking cranes which cover the complete surface, for ordinary steel and RVS, a first-quality spray-painting booth and the necessary social facilities.
The building has been conceived in such a way that it can easily be extended.
In the building several low-energy concepts and low-energy engineering have been applied among others in the field of ventilation-heating, lighting, extensive thermal insulation. (Mebo itself did the assemblage of the steel structure.)
